Guantanamo Bay - GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba (Sept. 12, 2017) Civil service mariners assigned to Military Sealift Command load pallets of food for persons affected by Hurricane Irma aboard the expeditionary fast transport vessel USNS Spearhead (T-EPF 1) at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Irma to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
