Joint interagency Task Force South changes command
KEY WEST, Fla. (July 15, 2022) U.S. Army General Laura J. Richardson, commander, U.S. Southern Command, departs the change of command ceremony where U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. Douglas Fears relinquished command of Joint Interagency Task Force South to U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. Mark Fedor at the Tennessee Williams Fine Arts Center in Key West, Fla. July 15, 2022. JIATF-South detects and monitors illegal trafficking in the air and on the water, and supports international and interagency operations that stop illegal drug trafficking. It operates in waters covering 42 million square miles of the western hemisphere, predominately with its 20 official partner nations.
