U.S. Space Command leaders met with representatives from Uruguay, Colombia, Brazil, and Peru to strengthen and expand space cooperation among partner nations in the Western Hemisphere during Space Symposium 39, April 8-11, 2024.

This agreement builds upon the relationship with Brazil and emphasizes the importance of South American nations to the space domain. USS Leyte Gulf Takes Down Semi-Submersible Vessel

The Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55), with an embarked U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET), has made multiple drug interdictions in the U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) area of operations (AOR).
