New Hampshire Airman Serves as Translator in El Salvador

Air Force Staff Sgt. Kirsten E. Arends, a member of the New Hampshire Air National Guard, served as a translator in El Salvador as part of the National Guard Bureau’s State Partnership Program, which has joined El Salvador and the state of New Hampshire as strategic partners since 2000.

Amidst a nearly decade-long drought, a team of U.S. Navy construction professionals assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 133 began water well drilling exploration operations in the rural community of Riohacha, Colombia Aug. 30 as part of Southern Partnership Station (SPS) 2018.

Two U.S. Air Force aircraft and more than 90 U.S. Airmen are participating in “Angel de los Andes,” a Colombian led international search and rescue training exercise Sept. 3-14.

Republic of Colombia Army Judge Advocates meet with U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Robert E. Livingston, Jr., The Adjutant General for South Carolina National Guard, the JAGs are visiting South Carolina to collaborate on ideas during the transformation of the Colombian military justice systems, Columbia, S.C., Aug. 29, 2018. The Colombian Military and the South Carolina National Guard have collaborated through the State Partnership Program since 2012.  Through the SPP, National Guard and partner countries conduct engagements in support of defense security goals in cooperative, mutually beneficial relationships.
