Making it work: Airman brings maintenance grit to medical mission in Suriname

PARAMARIBO, Suriname — While patients waited in crowded clinics and medical staff in crisp uniforms moved from room to room, a small maintenance shop tucked into the corner of Academic Hospital buzzed with a different kind of energy: One less visible, but no less essential.

US Air Force, Salvadoran forces train in simulated combat environment during AMISTAD campaign

LAMAT 2025 culminates in Guyana

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AFNS) — The Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team 2025 mission concluded two weeks of intensive medical collaboration between U.S. military personnel and their Guyanese counterparts.

Saving Lives, Building Partnerships: LAMAT 25 Delivers Critical Care, Reserve Readiness in St. Kitts and Nevis

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts and Nevis — During the St. Kitts and Nevis phase of LAMAT 25, more than 2,200 patients received treatment, 600-plus people underwent surgical and non-surgical interventions, thousands of hours of readiness training were accomplished, and Air Force medical professionals helped deliver a grand-total of at least $80,000 worth of care to the host nation’s populace.

Cyber operations takes stage at CRUZEX 2024

NATAL, BRAZIL — For the first time in the history of CRUZEX, cyber operations played a pivotal role. CRUZEX 2024 introduced "CRUZEX CYBER," a simulated cyber exercise designed to integrate cyber defense with traditional air operations, marking a new frontier in military training. CRUZEX, one of the largest multinational military exercises in Latin America, has traditionally focused on enhancing air and space operational coordination.

AMISTAD24: Partnering with Paraguay for Medical Mission Success

FILADELFIA, Paraguay — Thirty-two Total Force U.S. Air Force Airmen and U.S. Army Massachusetts National Guard soldiers journeyed to Filadelfia to support this year's AMISTAD mission. AMISTAD, Spanish for friendship, is the core of their objective: to collaborate closely with local counterparts, enhancing mutual training efforts and delivering optimal patient care.
