Miami - GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba (SEP 13, 2017) The expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Spearhead (T-EPF-1) transits out to sea after refueling at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB) and on loading other supplies in route to the island of St. Martin to support disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Irma to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
