Chief Warrant Officer Five Cándido M. Crespo hails from Utuado, Puerto Rico and is married to his beloved wife Frances. Together they share two boys: Estevan and Kamil. Chief Crespo enlisted in the Army on August 28th, 1997 from the San Juan Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) with the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 35L – Avionics Communications Equipment Repairer. He was appointed as a Warrant Officer in 2004 and affiliated with the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps as a 918B – Electronic Systems Maintenance Warrant Officer in 2005. 

Chief Crespo has four combat deployments and has previously served as the Senior Warrant Officer Advisor (SWOA) to the Commanding General of the 8th Theater Sustainment Command (Fort Shafter, HI). Other assignments include the 2nd Infantry Division (Camp Stanley, South Korea), 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) (Fort Campbell, KY), 21st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) (Mannheim, Germany), 1st Army Space Brigade (Peterson AFB, CO), 4th Infantry Division (Fort Carson, CO), 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) (Fort Carson, CO), the 82nd Airborne Division (Fort Bragg, NC), the Army Logistics University (ALU) and the U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) (Fort Gregg-Adams, VA), the Office of the Program Manager – Saudi Arabian National Guard (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia), and the U.S. Army Cyber Command (Fort Eisenhower, GA). 

Chief Crespo is a graduate of the How the Army Runs Course (HTARC), and all Warrant Officer Professional Military Education courses. He holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management and is recognized as a Demonstrated Master Logistician by The International Society of Logistics. 

Chief Crespo’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal (5th award), Army Commendation Medal (7th award), Army Achievement Medal (4th award), the Army Senior Instructor Badge, the Armed Forces Basic Space Badge, the Airborne Parachutist Badge, and various unit, campaign and service awards.
