Coast Guard offloads 2,367 pounds of cocaine in San Juan, Puerto Rico
The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Heriberto Hernandez offloads 2,367 pounds of cocaine following the interdiction of a vessel north of Puerto Rico, Aug. 28, 2016. While fighting the drug trade remains important, the commander of U.S. Southern Command told a National Defense University audience Oct. 18, 2016, that increasing regional cooperation, real-time information sharing and multinational operations is necessary to overcoming a variety of transregional and transnational networks that threaten security and stability.
