Guatemala City - Two U.S. Marine CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters with the Aviation Combat Element, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, take off from La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Aug. 1, 2017. The ACE will be operating in Guatemala during the month of August to test the unit’s ability to operate away from their primary base and better support the other elements of the task force. The Marines and sailors of SPMAGTF-SC are deployed to Central America to conduct security cooperation training and engineering projects with their counterparts in several Central American and Caribbean nations.
