Dominica - 170923-N-SA412-0077 DOMINICA (Sept. 23, 2017) U.S. citizens prepare to take off in an MH-60S Sea Hawk from Helicopter Sea Combat 22 (HSC-22), assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), during relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Maria. The Department of Defense is supporting the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
