COLINA, Chile (April 19, 2023) -- Gen. Laura Richardson, Commander of U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), and Chilean counterpart Gen. Javier Iturriaga, Commander in Chief of the Chilean Army, tour the Joint Task Force during Fused Response April 19 at Special Operations Brigade in Colina. The bilateral U.S. and Chilean exercise is an ongoing effort to enhance readiness and interoperability among SOUTHCOM components, various agencies and partner nations to effectively and rapidly respond to regional security challenges. Richardson visited Chile April 18-21 to meet with leaders to discuss security cooperation and visit U.S. and Chilean forces taking part in exercise Fused Response.
