Carrying my Culture - New Horizons 2019
Air Forces Southern
May 13, 2019 | 3:49
Video highlighting U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Delmerk Inniss stationed at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, a surgical tech deployed to Guyana for New Horizons as a part of the Ophthalmology team.
U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force ophthalmologists perform cataract surgery on local Guyanese patients in support of New Horizons 2019. The New Horizons exercise 2019 provides U.S. military members an opportunity to train for an overseas deployment and the logistical requirements it entails. The exercise promotes bilateral cooperation by providing opportunities for U.S. and partner nation military engineers, medical personnel and support staff to work and train side by side.
