The USAG-Miami Attorney provides labor and employment support and advice for USAG-Miami, SOUTHCOM, SOCSOUTH, and JIATF-S supervisors and leadership.
On a limited basis, the attorney also provides legal services and preliminary legal advice to active-duty service members, retirees, their dependents, and other individuals entitled to receive legal assistance in the Miami area. Note: USAG-Miami does not have a dedicated Legal Assistance Office. However, the USAG-Miami legal office offers estate planning and can provide wills, powers of attorney, medical directives, and living wills and provides notarizations. The Garrison Attorney can advise clients on most legal matters, such as divorce, custody support, consumer affairs, tax, and landlord/tenant issues. However, the Garrison Attorney is not authorized to represent military ID card holders in civilian courts.
Reservist can contact the 174th Legal Operations Detachment for legal assistance. Legal Assistance services are available to members of the United States Army Reserve for matters that relate to legal readiness. USAG-Miami’s PAO serves as the principal communication advisor to the Garrison Manager. It conducts public affairs training for garrison leadership, facilitate media engagements, and play an important role in enhancing the quality, accessibility, efficiency, and effectiveness of communication across all the installation’s public-facing communication channels. The PAO leverages communication techniques to effectively tell the Garrison’s story to the right audience using the right tools and doing so as rapidly as possible. It engages the media and the community and communicate corporately in support of Army communication strategies that build the trust and confidence of the American public.

USAG-Miami’s PAO is responsible for tailoring all the installation’s external and internal command information. This is communicating installations services to service members and families, and Department of the Army Civilians that make up the organization, using all communication tools available, including public facing websites, social media, and installation online or print products.
