Four Imperatives

SOUTHCOM Commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan has developed four imperatives to posture the U.S. military to confront the threats facing the Western Hemisphere.

At the request of USAID's Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance, the
lead U.S. federal agency coordinating foreign disaster response efforts in
Peru, the U.S. Air Force has deployed two C-130 aircraft and supporting crew
members from Little Rock Air Force Base to assist in airlift operations
facilitating the transportation of humanitarian cargo and personnel to hard
to reach areas.
