Making it work: Airman brings maintenance grit to medical mission in Suriname

PARAMARIBO, Suriname — While patients waited in crowded clinics and medical staff in crisp uniforms moved from room to room, a small maintenance shop tucked into the corner of Academic Hospital buzzed with a different kind of energy: One less visible, but no less essential.

AFRC Wing at Travis delivers humanitarian aid to Haiti

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — A Reserve aircrew from the 301st Airlift Squadron performed a three-day mission Sept. 23 – 25, to move humanitarian cargo to Haiti. Through the Denton Program, three school buses donated from San Diego Unified School District were transported from March Air Reserve Base, California, to Haiti.

Reserve Citizen Airmen treat Honduran patients during medical readiness training exercise

KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. — Twenty-one Air Force Reserve medics with the 403rd Wing took part of a Medical Readiness Training Exercise Dec. 4-18. Known as the 403rd MEDRETE 2019 Honduras, Airmen from the 403rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron and 36th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron here as well as reservists from around the country, worked with a team of doctors from the Joint Task Force-Bravo Surgeon’s Cell out of Soto Cano Air Base, to provide free medical care to the citizens of Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
