Two for Two: USS Sioux City Conducts Back-to-Back Drug Busts

CARIBBEAN SEA — CARIBBEAN SEA - The Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Sioux City (LCS 11) with embarked U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET) 109 seized over $24 million in suspected cocaine, April 26-28, 2021.

Atlantic Area-based Coast Guard Cutters Offload More Than $330 Million Worth of Illegal Narcotics

Two Coast Guard Atlantic Area-based cutters offloaded more than $330 million worth of illegal narcotics, Thursday and Monday, at Port Everglades, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

An MH-60R “Seahawk” assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 60 (HSM 60) embarked onboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94) with embarked U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET) team conducts enhanced counter narcotics operations Aug. 4, 2020. Nitze and embarked LEDET recovered 725 kilograms of suspected cocaine and 3,190 pounds of suspected marijuana. EASTERN PACIFIC OCEAN — EASTERN PACIFIC OCEAN - The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94) with embarked U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET) seized 725 kilograms of suspected cocaine and 3,190 pounds of suspected marijuana, August 4.
