CARIBBEAN SEA - 200704-N-N3764-001 CARIBBEAN SEA (July 4, 2020) – The Cyclone-class patrol ship USS Shamal (PC 13) with embarked U.S. Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET) team conducts enhanced counter narcotics operations July 4. The Shamal and embarked LEDET recovered more than 3,900 pounds of suspected marijuana, July 4. Shamal is deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility to support counter illicit drug trafficking in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
