PACIFIC OCEAN - PACIFIC OCEAN (July 29,2020) The U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100) participates in a passing exercise (PASSEX) with El Salvadoran Navy Maritime Patrol Vessel 13 (PM-13) , July 29, 2020. The PASSEX enabled the forces to enhance communication, interoperability and maintain operational readiness. Kidd is deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility to support Joint Interagency Task Force South’s mission, which includes counter illicit drug trafficking in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
