MIAMI (March 14, 2022) -- Brazilian Lt. Gen. David Alcoforado shakes hands with Brazilian Rear Adm. José Achilles A. J. Teixeira during an awards ceremony. From 2020-2022, Alcoforado was Brazil’s first general staff officer to serve on U.S. Southern Command's staff. He was presented the Legion of Merit medal by SOUTHCOM Commander Gen.
