U.S. Maritime Forces Arrive for UNITAS LXIII hosted by Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - Navy and Marine forces are set to arrive in Rio de Janeiro in support of UNITAS LXIII, the world’s longest-running multinational maritime exercise scheduled to take place Sept. 8-22.

SOUTHCOM Commander Visits Guyana, Suriname

The commander of U.S. Southern Command, U.S. Army Gen. Laura Richardson, completed a 4-day visit to Guyana and Suriname where she met with senior leaders to reaffirm U.S. support of the security partnership with each nation.

Connecticut National Guard Leaders Build Bonds in Uruguay

New York Guard Trains With Brazilian Military

One hundred New York National Guard airmen, including 80 from the 106th Rescue Wing, are participating in exercises with their Brazilian air force counterparts.

NY Guard Space ops Experts Mentor at Space Command Exercise

The Global Sentinel exercise, which began in 2014 with seven nations, allows U.S. allies to practice the skills to ensure that satellites used by their militaries for communications, navigation and reconnaissance keep functioning, according to U.S. Space Command.
