Chilean, U.S. Soldiers learn food protection in an expeditionary environment
A team of veterinarians from U.S. Army South and the U.S. Army Medical Center and School, participated in a subject matter expert exchange with approximately 40 Chilean military and civilian veterinarians March 6-9 in Santiago. The group met to discuss the execution of food safety and food defense programs in underdeveloped regions which lack adequate public health services.

Coast Guard Cutter Spencer returns home; seized $92 million in cocaine
During their patrol, the crew interdicted four drug-laden vessels, resulting in the seizure of approximately 1,400 kilograms (3,080 lbs.) of cocaine worth more than $92 million. They also apprehended 13 suspected smugglers with the help of their deployed helicopter crew.
