Peru Bolsters International Space Collaboration with Key U.S. Partners During Exercise

OPERATION HARPY SUR, a space exercise nested under Exercise RESOLUTE SENTINEL 2023, has opened a new chapter in international space collaboration at the Centro Nacional de Operaciones de Imágenes Satelitales, or CNOIS, in southern Peru. The space exercise aims to bolster the region's emerging space programs.

The Global Sentinel exercise, which began in 2014 with seven nations, allows U.S. allies to practice the skills to ensure that satellites used by their militaries for communications, navigation and reconnaissance keep functioning, according to U.S. Space Command.

Guardians Participate in FIDAE International Air Show

Space Operations Command Guardians, along with U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command soldiers, cadets and cadre from the U.S. Air Force Academy, and Airmen from across the United States traveled to South America to take part in the FIDAE (Feria International Del Aire y Del Espacio) Air Show, April 5 – 10, in Santiago, Chile.

SOUTHCOM Hosts New U.S. Space Force 'U.S.-Brazil Space Engagement Talks'

U.S. Southern Command hosted the newly established U.S. Space Force and Brazilian counterparts for virtual U.S.-Brazil Space Engagement Talks.  Not only is this the first senior space flag officer event between the U.S. and Brazil, but it is the first such event for the U.S. Space Force.
