Counterdrug program trains international law enforcement partners

The National Guard Counterdrug Program conducted the first class of its newly developed course aimed at disrupting illicit drug trafficking networks July 10-Aug. 10 .The NG CDP worked closely with U.S. Southern Command to identify Suriname as the first country to send a student to attend the pilot course.

Fuerzas Comando 2017 Special Forces Competition Begins in Paraguay

Fuerzas Comando is a multinational special operations skills competition and combating terrorism fellowship program sponsored by U.S. Southern Command and executed by SOCSOUTH. Ten countries have shared the responsibility of hosting the event. The first year the competition was held in El Salvador and 13 countries participated. Since then the involvement in the competition has expanded and Paraguay is this year's hosting country.
