Strengthening Partnerships: JTF-Bravo 1-228th Aviation Regiment conducts deck-landing qualifications Aboard Royal Navy’s RFA Wave Knight

U.S. Army Col. Steven Gventer, commander of Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-B), Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, and two aircrews with the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, JTF-B, completed deck-landing qualifications, Aug. 18, aboard the United Kingdom’s Royal Fleet Auxiliary Fleet Wave Knight, a fast fleet tanker, and met with leadership.

JTF Bravo Conducts Large Formation Helicopter Exercise

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — U.S. Army soldiers assigned to Joint Task Force Bravo conducted a helicopter exercise out of Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, May 28, 2020. The exercise involved participation from the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment and the use of 10 U.S. Army CH-47 Chinooks and UH-60 L Blackhawk helicopters.

Joint Task Force - Leeward Islands prepares for Hurricane Maria

U.S. service members with Joint Task Force - Leeward Islands moved their aircraft from San Juan to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Sept. 18, 2017, in preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Maria so they can continue their humanitarian assistance and disaster relief mission once the storm passes.

JTF-Bravo Helps Fight Wildfires in Honduras

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo partnered with Honduran Public Forces to contain multiple life-threatening wildfires here the first week of March.

Members of the 1-228 AVN’s MEDEVAC Company transport a critically ill U.S. military retiree from a hospital in Siguatepeque to Tegucigalpa for further care Feb 18. The MEDEVAC Company is assigned to Joint Task Force – Bravo at Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras. The company trains daily for critical missions such as these and on this day were able to put all their training and skills into action for a real world mission that helped save a life.
