LAMAT 2025 culminates in Guyana

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AFNS) — The Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team 2025 mission concluded two weeks of intensive medical collaboration between U.S. military personnel and their Guyanese counterparts.

U.S. Army South leads joint task force in support of illegal alien holding operation in Guantanamo Bay

NAVAL STATION GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba — At the direction of the President of the United States, and in coordination with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Defense, U.S. Army South (USARSOUTH) has assumed responsibility as the lead Joint Task Force for ongoing illegal alien holding operations at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Wrapping up its second international search for novel science and technology innovations, the U.S. Army xTech Program awarded two first-place honors to small businesses from Chile. With the award, it shows that Latin American innovators are creating a platform for future collaboration with the Army.

U.S. Army Aviation Team Completes Qualifications to Support USNS Comfort 2019

Punta Arena, Costa Rica — U.S. Army Helicopter pilots and crew members of Joint Task Force-Bravo completed qualifications July 18-26 to support an upcoming mission, off the coast of Punta Arenas, Costa Rica.

U.S., Honduran health services battle disease in Honduran mountain community

COMAYAGUA, Honduras — Joint Task Force Bravo in concurrence with the Honduran Ministry of Health conducted a medical investigation into a possible disease outbreak, July 9 and 10, at La Libertad in the district of Comayagua, Honduras.

Carlos Solver, Puerto Rico National Guard Security Forces Training (SFT) instructor, provides guidance to a Honduran soldier firing an M-16 rifle during the SFT course June 8, 2019, at the 1st Artillery Battalion in Zambrano, Honduras. Honduran Army soldiers participated in the two-week SFT course led by U.S. Army Puerto Rico National Guard service members assigned to Task Force ¬¬– Borinqueneer. The course taught them about security techniques and procedures to include formation, breaching, weapons training, casualty care, vehicle searching and tactical control points. Honduran soldiers complete U.S. Army led Security Forces Training

ZAMBRANO RANGE, Honduras — Members of the Honduran Army completed Security Forces Training (SFT) conducted by the U.S. Army with a graduation ceremony June 11, 2019, here. Puerto Rico U.S. Army National Guard members assigned to Task Force - Borinqueneer trained 45 Honduran service members during a two-week course on security forces techniques and procedures.

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — A team of U.S. Army medical personnel from Brooke Army Medical Center participated in a training exercise in Hospital Escuela and Hospital Maria in Tegucigalpa, Honduras from July 19 – 27, performing complex trauma surgical procedures in a resource limited environment with logistical support from Joint Task Force-Bravo.
