USNS Burlington Hosts Launch of Unmanned Surface Vehicle

CARRIBEAN SEA — CARRIBEAN SEA -- U.S. Navy Sailors partnered with Military Sealift Command civilian mariners and civilian contractors in a collaborative effort to successfully launch a Wave Glider unmanned surface vehicle (USV) from expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Burlington (T-EPF 10), June 30, 2023.

UNITAS LXIV to begin in Colombia

U.S. Navy and Marine forces are set to arrive in Cartagena in support of UNITAS LXIV, the world’s longest-running multinational maritime exercise in the world, scheduled to start July 11, 2023.

Gen. Richardson Meets with Leaders in Panama

The commander of U.S. Southern Command, U.S. Army Gen. Laura Richardson, visited Panama June 14-16 to meet with leaders and reaffirm the close security partnership between the United States and Panama and visit the Centro de Coordinación para la Prevención de los Desastres en Centroamérica y República Dominicana (CEPREDENAC)-led humanitarian and disaster relief exercise.

US, Colombian armies strengthen partnership during training rotation

FORT POLK, Louisiana — An infantry company from the Colombian Army was embedded with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, alongside U.S. Soldiers from the 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade, during a recent Joint Readiness Training Center rotation at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

U.S. Army advisors strengthen partnership with Colombia’s fire support command

U.S. Army advisors assigned to 4th Battalion, 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade, traveled to La Guajira region of Colombia alongside Comando de Apoyo de Fuegos, Colombia’s fire support command, in mid-December to assess their procedures and technical prowess in planning and executing field artillery missions using 155m Howitzer cannons.

Illinois National Guard, Colombia Military Kick Off Combined Military Training Exercise

More than 300 U.S. and Colombian soldiers stood tall in formation on the parade field of Tolemaida Military Base, Colombia, during the opening ceremony of Exercise Southern Vanguard 23 (ExSV23).
