USS Chafee crew intercepts 827 kilograms of cocaine

The Pearl Harbor-based Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, USS Chafee (DDG 90), seized more than 800 kilos of illicit narcotics Wednesday, Aug. 2, off the coast of Central America.

Coast Guard offloads more than 3 tons of cocaine in Port Everglades

MIAMI — MIAMI — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Escanaba offloaded approximately 3.1 tons of cocaine Monday in Port Everglades worth an estimated $85 million in wholesale value seized in international waters off the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

Coast Guard Cutter Diligence crew returns to Wilmington after interdicting 375 kilos of cocaine

The Diligence crew was deployed in support of Joint Interagency Task Force-South (JIATF-South) and performed several Coast Guard missions, including counter drug operations and deterrence of illegal immigration.

Coast Guard offloads more than 18 tons of cocaine in Port Everglades

The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton offloaded approximately 18.5 tons (16,856 kilograms) of cocaine Thursday in Port Everglades worth an estimated $498 million wholesale seized in international waters off the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

USS Zephyr returns home following counterdrug patrol in Latin America, Caribbean

MAYPORT, Fla. (NNS) -- The Cyclone-class patrol costal ship USS Zephyr (PC 8) and its embarked U.S. Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET) returned to its homeport in Mayport, Florida, May 10, following a 56 day patrol in the 4th fleet area of operations conducting Operation Martillo.

A crew member from Coast Guard Cutter Tarpon, an 87-foot Coast Patrol Boat homeported in St. Petersburg, Florida, and his crew offload 1,735 kilograms of cocaine, an estimated wholesale value of $56 million, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, Florida. The contraband was interdicted during four separate cases supporting Operation Martillo, a joint interagency and multi-national collaborative effort among 14 Western Hemisphere and European nations to stop the flow of illicit cargo by Transnational Criminal Organizations. Southcom Official: 'Friendly Network' Critical in Confronting Transregional Threats

COZUMEL, Mexico — "It takes a network to defeat a network," a U.S. Southern Command official stressed as representatives of 14 nations gathered in Mexico to address ways to confront the transnational security threats in Central America.
