Caribbean Sea — USS Farragut (DDG 99) has found success in stopping alleged illicit drug traffickers in the Caribbean, with four drug busts in October.

Coast Guard offloads nearly $500 million in illegal narcotics at Port Everglades

The crew of U.S. Coast Guard Cutter James offloaded more than 33,200 pounds of cocaine and 12,400 pounds of marijuana worth approximately $448 million in Port Everglades, Oct. 26.

Coast Guard offloads $10.2 million in seized cocaine

The Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Napier crew and Caribbean Corridor Strike Force agents offloaded 901 pounds (411kgs) of cocaine Wednesday in San Juan, Puerto Rico, following the interdiction of a smuggling vessel north of Puerto Rico.

Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane Crewmembers Interdict $16 Million Worth of Illicit Drugs

The Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane returned home to their homeport in Portsmouth, after a 72-day patrol in the Caribbean Sea, Sunday. The Harriet Lane’s crew performed counter-drug and migrant interdiction operations in support of the Coast Guard 7th District and Joint Interagency Task Force-South.

The Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane (WMEC 903) crew offloaded approximately 12,100 pounds of cocaine and approximately 5,759 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $216 million, Thursday, in Port Everglades.

Coast Guard Crew Offloads More Than 26,000 Pounds of Cocaine, Marijuana Worth $390 Million in San Diego

The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf (WMSL-750) offloaded more than 26,000 pounds of seized cocaine and marijuana in San Diego, Thursday. The drugs, worth an estimated $390 million, were seized in international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean. They represent 13 suspected drug smuggling vessel interdictions off the coasts of Mexico, Central and South America between late May and late August.
