Air Force operational C2 advisors provide more than just advice

HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. — The U.S. Air Force’s senior advisors in the Operational Command Training Program, or OCTP, had a busy 2021, connecting the strategic-level Joint All Domain Command and Control, or JADC2, concept to operational-level command and control organizations. Air Forces Southern, or AFSOUTH, requested the OCTP’s senior advisors support for an Operational Planning Team, or OPT. AFSOUTH was exploring their internal organization design to discern if a realignment of the air component staff would result in better agility for competition with adversaries in their area of responsibility.

Guardsmen, partner nations attend first Air Force all-Spanish international SNCO course

ARLINGTON, Va. (AFNS) — Two Air National Guardsmen participated in the first International Senior Noncommissioned Officer Course held all in Spanish by the Inter-American Air Force Academy at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, Oct. 4-Dec. 8.

Honduran Air Force, US Army partner for first-ever online MEDEVAC training course

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Twenty members of the Honduran Air Force graduated from a Basic Aeromedical Evacuation training course provided by Joint Task Force- Bravo, June 19. The three-week academic training course included the participation of 13 nurses and seven doctors stationed at different Honduran Air Force bases, who connected with their JTF-Bravo counterpart from the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment through video chat.

Reserve Citizen Airmen treat Honduran patients during medical readiness training exercise

KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. — Twenty-one Air Force Reserve medics with the 403rd Wing took part of a Medical Readiness Training Exercise Dec. 4-18. Known as the 403rd MEDRETE 2019 Honduras, Airmen from the 403rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron and 36th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron here as well as reservists from around the country, worked with a team of doctors from the Joint Task Force-Bravo Surgeon’s Cell out of Soto Cano Air Base, to provide free medical care to the citizens of Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Central American firefighters sharing operational knowledge with U.S. counterparts

Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras — The Joint Task Force-Bravo’s 612th Air Base Squadron will be hosting a multinational firefighting exercise at Soto Cano Air Base, August 19-23, with the participation of 25 firefighters from Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica.

U.S. Army Aviation Team Completes Qualifications to Support USNS Comfort 2019

Punta Arena, Costa Rica — U.S. Army Helicopter pilots and crew members of Joint Task Force-Bravo completed qualifications July 18-26 to support an upcoming mission, off the coast of Punta Arenas, Costa Rica.

Members from Joint Task Force – Bravo’s Medical Element, 612th Air Base Squadron firefighters and 480th Military Police Company worked together to accomplish goals during the training event.
