U.S. Army South hosts the Conference of the American Armies (CAA) - specialized conference on military support to civilian authorities to counter threat networks from Feb. 5-7 in San Antonio, Texas.

U.S., Salvadoran Soldiers build structures, relationships

Some 1,800 Soldiers from Combined Joint Task Force Hope are providing humanitarian assistance as part of their training during the Beyond the Horizon exercise in El Salvador. The U.S. Army South-led mission runs through Aug. 4, and includes Soldiers from all components, Air Force and Marine service members, Salvadoran soldiers, and personnel from non-governmental organizations.

Army medical readiness exercise provides rural Salvadorans with medical, dental care

Army dentists took part in a medical readiness exercise that included Peruvian and Salvadoran doctors and nurses. Of the team of 40, 32 were U.S. Army medical personnel from Combined Joint Task Force Hope participating in the Beyond the Horizon exercise, which is led by U.S. Army South. The larger scope of the humanitarian exercise included construction of clinics and schools.

WVNG Soldier provides influence for NCO development in Peruvian Army

The U.S. Army South (ARSOUTH) and a member of the West Virginia National Guard’s (WVNG) State Partnership Program (SPP) conducted a combined workshop in Lima, Peru from May 28 through June 1, 2018, with Peruvian Army (PERAR) officers and NCOs in order to provide a foundation for institutional change to education and leader development within the PERAR NCO corps.

Belize Defence Force hosts energy and water conservation policy conference

The Belize Defence Force hosted an Energy and Water Conservation Policy Subject Matter Expert Exchange in Belize City May 8-10, bringing together Soldiers from the Louisiana National Guard and master planners from the U.S. Corps of Engineers. U.S. Army South was the lead executive agent of this U.S. Southern Command-sponsored professional military exchange.

Beyond The Horizon 2017: New clinic in Belize lays foundation for future

Members of the Beyond the Horizon Task Force and the Belize Ministry of Health hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony June 9 for a newly constructed addition to the Ladyville Health Clinic in Ladyville, Belize. BTH 2017 is a partnership exercise between U.S. Army South and the Government of Belize providing five construction projects and three medical events throughout the country.

Beyond the Horizon 2017 provides free medical services event in Belize

U.S. Soldiers and Marines worked together to open a free medical clinic in Ladyville, Belize, April 9, as a part of Beyond the Horizon 2017. BTH 2017 is a partnership exercise between the government of Belize and U.S. Southern Command that will provide three free medical service events and five construction projects throughout the country from March 25 until June 17.
