La Paz, Honduras — A Joint Task Force-Bravo Joint Security Forces team participated in a Subject Matter Expert Exchange with local police forces in La Paz, Honduras on June 20, 2017 to enhance their ability to enter, clear and secure locations.

Up in flames: Fire Department conducts live fire training

Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras — Firefighters from the 612th Air Base Squadron Fire Department, Joint Task Force-Bravo, conducted a live fire training June 16, 2017 here, to practice their skills and provide awareness to the Soto Cano population.

More than 190 members of Joint Task Force-Bravo hiked approximately 3.6 miles round-trip to the village of San Jerónimo, Comayagua, Honduras, Apr. 29, 2017. Members carried more than 5025 lbs of food and supplies, 24 soccer balls and 3 piñatas to the people of San Jerónimo. Chapel hikes have been occurring since 2003, with the JTF-Bravo Chapel sponsoring an average of six every year. The hikes are designed to provide a practical way for JTF-Bravo members to engage and partner with local communities to provide support to surrounding villages in need of food and supplies. JTF-Bravo hikes over 5000 pounds of food and supplies to San Jerónimo, Comayagua, Honduras

COMAYAGUA, Honduras — Villagers of San Jerónimo, Comayagua, Honduras receive bags of food from more than 190 members of Joint Task Force-Bravo.

A CH-47 Chinook helicopter from JTF-Bravo's 1st Battalion, 228 Aviation Regiment unloads a pallet of equipment and supplies during a deployment readiness exercise of the U.S. Southern Command Situational Assessment Team (SSAT) in Zambrano, Honduras, Feb. 21 through 23. The SSAT is a quick-reaction deployable team comprised of experts that provide the commander of USSOUTHCOM an immediate assessment of conditions and unique Department of Defense requirements which might be needed during a Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Response event within the Central American Area of Responsibility.

JTF-Bravo’s quick reaction force executes deployment readiness exercise

ZAMBRANO, Honduras — Eleven personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo’s U.S. Southern Command Situational Assessment Team (SSAT) mobilized in support of a deployment readiness exercise here, Feb. 21 through 23.

U.S. Marines with the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Southern Command board a C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Oct. 8, 2016, for a deployment to Port-au-Prince, Haiti where they will augment approximately 150 other Soldiers, Airmen and Marines from Joint Task Force-Bravo and SPMAGTF-SC who deployed earlier this week with two CH-53E Super Stallion, three CH-47 Chinook, and two UH-60L and two HH-60L Black Hawk helicopters to provide heavy and medium lift to support the U.S. Agency for International Development-led mission. While in Haiti, SPMAGTF-SC and JTF-Bravo personnel are part of Joint Task Force Matthew, a temporary command established by SOUTHCOM in Port-au-Prince, under the command of U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Cedric Pringle, to coordinate and execute the combined Department of Defense supporting elements that include the Marine and Army aircraft from Soto Cano and ships and aircraft from the Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard. SPMAGTF-SC, JTF-Bravo disaster relief in Haiti enabled by logistics, ‘Rapid Global Mobility’
