LAMAT Dental Team First to Treat Patients at New Redi Doti Dental Clinic

The dental team of the Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team (LAMAT) was the first to see patients in a newly opened dental clinic in Redi Doti, Suriname on Monday. The Youth Dental Care Foundation’s (JTV) Redi Doti clinic will serve patients in rural communities, making dental services and preventative care more easily accessible.

USS Farragut (DDG 99) Arrives in the 4th Fleet AOR

The Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99) arrived in the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations for a scheduled deployment, Feb. 15. Embarked with the ship is U.S. Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET) 406 to conduct counter narcotic operations in the region.

Operation Vespucci demonstrates global reach during Southern Hemisphere tour

A KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft from the 6th Air Refueling Wing at MacDill Air Force Base and the 92nd Air Refueling Wing, Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., successfully circumnavigated the Southern Hemisphere in an endurance mission covering more than 23,000 nautical miles Jan. 23-30.

Army South helps with planning TRADEWINDS 23 exercise

Planners from U.S. Army South Mobility, 167th Theater Sustainment Command, and U.S. Northern Command met with Guyanese port operations personnel Feb. 3 to discuss inbound and outbound operations at the seaport of debarkation to ensure rapid movement of logistics during the upcoming TRADEWINDS23 exercise to take place in the summer of 2023.
