Coast Guard Cutter crews conduct first high-seas boardings off the coast of Peru, under new SPRFMO measure

The crews of the Coast Guard Cutters Alder, Terrell Horne and an HC-130 Hercules aircraft recently completed the first high-seas boardings and inspections, in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, under a newly adopted conservation and management measure to monitor and inspect fishing and transshipment operations at-sea in the South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organization (SPRFMO) Convention Area.

Coast Guard Cutter Valiant returns home after $30 million drug seizure

During a recent patrol, the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Valiant (WMEC 621) interdicted a go-fast vessel with over 97 pounds of cocaine and assisted the Royal Netherlands Navy patrol vessel HNLMS Groningen (P843) with two additional interdictions. Overall, Valiant seized or assisted in the seizure of more than $30 million in illegal narcotics.

Coast Guard offloads more than $160 million in illegal narcotics

The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Confidence offloaded more than 12,100 pounds of cocaine worth more than $160 million in Miami, Tuesday. Coast Guard and partner agency crews interdicted the illegal drugs during nine separate cases in the international waters of the Caribbean Sea.
