Peruvian, US firefighters train for aircraft fire evacuations

Peruvian Airmen shared techniques and best practices for handling and extinguishing aircraft fires and rescuing trapped personnel with the U.S. Airmen, who likewise shared their tactics. The fire rescue training was coordinated by the Combined Joint Task Force – RS24 and aimed to prepare the U.S. and partner nations for effective emergency response in areas with limited resources and treatment options.

Resolute Sentinel 2024 tests rapid blood transport to Peru

Exercise Resolute Sentinel 2024 tested the ability of the U.S. military to rapidly transport blood from Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, to Lima, Peru, on May 30, 2024. A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III assigned to 167th Airlift Wing transported the units, marking the first-time blood was delivered into Peru for exercise Resolute Sentinel, now in its third iteration.

Multinational military exercise Resolute Sentinel 2024 kicks off

The multinational military exercise Resolute Sentinel 2024 officially began May 27, 2024, at Grupo 4 in La Joya, Peru, after an opening ceremony and unveiling of the 2024 exercise partnership emblem. RS24, which will continue through the next three weeks, is sponsored by U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) and marks the beginning of a comprehensive joint training opportunity aimed at enhancing regional security and interoperability among Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, France and the United States.

U.S., Central American military leaders reaffirm their commitment to regional security, partnership

U.S. and Central American military leaders gathered in El Salvador, May 21, to reaffirm their shared commitment to regional security and to renew partner-nation engagement and training opportunities for the upcoming years. The multinational forum, hosted by U.S. Army South, served as the 19th edition of the U.S.-El Salvador army-to-army staff talks and the fifth Central American Working Group, which was designed to enhance interoperability amongst American, Salvadoran, Guatemalan, and Honduran armies.
