Women, Peace, and Security Symposium Held in St. George’s, Grenada

ST. GEORGE'S, Grenada — ST. GEORGES, Grenada -- U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) held a Women, Peace and Security Symposium (WPS), Sept. 18-21, as part of Continuing Promise 2023 on board the USNS Burlington (T-EPF 10) and at Grenada's National Cricket Stadium in St. George's, Grenada.

Hokanson: Panama a Global Crossroads, Key Security Cooperation Partner

The Republic of Panama is a bridge that connects the Americas. Its renowned canal is one of the most strategic waterways in the world. It also is a key security cooperation partner for the United States, the National Guard’s top general said during a recent visit to the country.

USNS Burlington Arrives in Almirante, Panama

ALMIRANTE, PANAMA — USNS Burlington (T-EPF 10) arrived in Almirante, Panama, Aug. 11, marking the first of many stops throughout the course of the Continuing Promise 2023 mission. During Burlington’s time in Panama, U.S. Navy and partner nation medical personnel will work together to provide care in community clinics. The vessel recently returned from participating in UNITAS, the world’s longest-running multinational maritime exercise in the world.

Gen. Richardson Meets with Leaders in Panama

The commander of U.S. Southern Command, U.S. Army Gen. Laura Richardson, visited Panama June 14-16 to meet with leaders and reaffirm the close security partnership between the United States and Panama and visit the Centro de Coordinación para la Prevención de los Desastres en Centroamérica y República Dominicana (CEPREDENAC)-led humanitarian and disaster relief exercise.

JTF-Bravo Joins Panamanian Humanitarian Exercise

Joint Task Force-Bravo, a unit under the U.S. Southern Command and based out of Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, will conduct exercise Keel Billed Toucan in locations across Panama from May 9-12.
