Fuerzas Comando 2018 Officially Kicks Off in Panama

Despite the cloudy skies, spirits were high for approximately 100 anxious competitors. Hosted by the Ministry of Public Security, Panama this year, Fuerzas Comando, a multinational special operations competition sponsored by U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) and executed by Special Operations Command South kicked off its 14th iteration of the event July 17, 2018, with an opening ceremony.

Air force leaders from 19 nations in the Western Hemisphere met in Panama City June 18-22 for the 58th Conference of American Air Chiefs.

Emerging infectious disease training event bolsters medical readiness

PANAMA CITY, Panama — A team of U.S. military doctors, public health specialists and members of various other career fields participated in a week-long Emerging Infectious Diseases Training Event June 4-8. The event, aimed at enhancing attendee cultural competencies and professional knowledge, consisted of briefings, lectures, and a day of field study.

Air Force Medical Team Supports Humanitarian Exercise in Panama

COCLE, Panama — Five members of the 2nd Medical Group, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, joined other teams of airmen, Marines and soldiers in support of the New Horizons 2018 humanitarian exercise in Panama.
