Air advisors, Colombian military accomplish joint training effort

BOGOTA, Colombia — The 571st Mobility Support Advisory Squadron alongside Airmen from five other squadrons spent three weeks Building Partner Capacity with the Colombian Air Force in air operation, aeromedical evacuation, propeller balance, zodiac rigging and medical intelligence courses.

USNS Spearhead Set to Deploy, Continuing Promise 2017 Begins

Continuing Promise 2017 (CP-17) will begin early next week with the deployment of the Military Sealift Command-operated expeditionary fast transport vessel, USNS Spearhead (T-EPF 1), to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.

Colombian army counter-narcotics brigade honors U.S. Special Forces

FLORENCIA, Colombia — FLORENCIA, Colombia – Every December 7 for the past sixteen years, Colombian soldiers from the National Army’s Special Anti-drug Brigade (BRCNA) have gathered in Larandia, Florencia for an end-of-year ceremony to celebrate the unit’s anniversary and recognize distinguished service. Unlike past award ceremonies, this year’s hot December day marked the first time U.S. Special Operations Command South assigned Green Berets marched their unit’s colors across the parade field.

Visiting Colombian Airmen donate supplies for Louisiana flood victims

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. ( Aug. 27, 2016) — Colombian Airmen visiting Barksdale Air Force Base, La., donated supplies Aug. 27, 2016, to the local Salvation Army for delivery to relief centers in central Louisiana following weeks of torrential rain and flooding in the region.
