Disaster Preparedness with El Salvador

Snapshots of Service: JTF-Bravo's Global Health Engagement in Guatemala

Joint Task Force-Bravo with the support from Arkansas National Guard’s 188th Air Wing and the Guatemalan military, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food conducted a Global Health Engagement in remote villages near Livingston, Guatemala, May 13-16, 2024. During the 4-day GHE, JTF-Bravo and its partners delivered care to over 500 patients and 1,500 animals. Services provided were medical, dental, pharmacy, veterinary, public health and surgery.

JTF-Bravo participated in AGILE BEAR helping move equipment and personnel across the country, and validate the national response during a humanitarian aid crisis alongside the Belize National Emergency Management Organization in Belize, March 16-20.

Joint Task Force – Bravo received a unique request during U.S. Southern Command’s Health Engagements Assistance Response Team HEART 2022 mission to work alongside partner nation medical professionals to provide surgical and medical services to communities in Guatemala and Honduras.

Soto Cano Air Base hosts second MEIR course of the year

This month, the U.S. Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute partnered with medical personnel, first responders, the Honduran Red Cross and the Honduran Permanent Contingency Commission to return to Soto Cano to teach the MEIR course again, this time it was concluded with a base-wide exercise.

U.S. Army Col. Steven Gventer, commander of Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-B), Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, and two aircrews with the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, JTF-B, completed deck-landing qualifications, Aug. 18, aboard the United Kingdom’s Royal Fleet Auxiliary Fleet Wave Knight, a fast fleet tanker, and met with leadership.

USS William P. Lawrence Joins Hurricane Eta Relief in Honduras

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS William P. Lawrence (DDG 110) and the 'Easyriders' of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 37 are supporting humanitarian assistance disaster relief (HADR) in Honduras in response to the devastation left by Hurricane Eta.
