JTF-B Assess, Educates Honduran Community

LA PAZ, Honduras — Medics from Joint Task Force - Bravo’s Medical Element (MEDEL) and 1st Battalion 228th Aviation Regiment partnered to help assess the needs of Florida de San Jose, a small community of La Paz, Honduras, during a Pediatric Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE), May 22-23.

U.S. service members support health efforts in El Paraiso

El Paraiso, Honduras — Members of Joint Task Force - Bravo’s Medical Element (MEDEL) conducted a training event from May 8 – 12. The training comprised of a Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE) and Medical Civil Action Program (MEDCAP) provided medical care for more than 1,300 Honduran citizens in the eastern region.

National Defense College visits SCAB

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — More than 40 students from the National Defense College in Tegucigalpa visited Soto Cano Air Base, Oct 25.

Navy Entomologists Team Up to Build Disease Detection Capacity in Honduras

Entomologists from the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit No. 6 (NAMRU-6) and the Navy Entomology Center of Excellence (NECE) partnered with Joint Task Force-Bravo Medical Element (JTF-B MEDEL) preventive medicine to develop a disease detection capability for the region. This cutting-edge work is supported by the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Board-Global Emerging Infections Surveillance (GEIS).

U.S. Army dentists provide care to 200 children in Honduras

Tegucigalpa, Honduras — A team comprised of U.S. Army dentists from the Joint Task Force-Bravo Medical Element and the U.S. Army Dental Command participated in a dental pediatric mission, providing different services for more than 200 children from the Ronaldo Roll School in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, September 4-14.

La Paz, Comayagua Police force receives training

COMAYAGUA, Honduras — To further strengthen the knowledge of the local police forces, 115 members of the National Police force Comayagua and La Paz participated in a Subject matter Exchange with Joint Security Forces personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo, stationed at Soto Cano Air Base in Palmerola, Comayagua.

Members of the 1-228 AVN’s MEDEVAC Company transport a critically ill U.S. military retiree from a hospital in Siguatepeque to Tegucigalpa for further care Feb 18. The MEDEVAC Company is assigned to Joint Task Force – Bravo at Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras. The company trains daily for critical missions such as these and on this day were able to put all their training and skills into action for a real world mission that helped save a life. JTF-Bravo provides life-saving medical evacuation

SIGUATEPEQUE, Honduras — Joint Task Force - Bravo’s Medical Element and the 1st Battalion, 228 Aviation Regiment provided vital medical support that helped save the life of a U.S. military retiree here Feb. 18.

An HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter assigned to Joint Task Force-Bravo’s 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, provided airlift support for a team of special forces troops performing air assault training during Operation Serpiente, a joint training mission led by members of the U.S. 7th Special Forces Group and Naval Special Warfare, Dec. 1, Lake Ilopango, El Salvador.

Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo’s Fire Emergency Services and Joint Security Forces prepare to fold an American flag in honor of the emergency services personnel who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, during the 9/11 remembrance ceremony at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Sept. 9, 2016. SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo joined representatives of the Honduran Fire Department here Sept. 9 to honor the 447 first responders who lost their lives in the service of others as a result of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
