Peru, US partner for aeromedical evacuation training at Resolute Sentinel 2024

LIMA, Peru — Peruvian and U.S. Airmen, along with Peruvian Coast Guardsmen, participated in a joint aeromedical evacuation training on May 30, 2024, in Lima, Peru.

Multinational military exercise Resolute Sentinel 2024 kicks off

LIMA, Peru — The multinational military exercise Resolute Sentinel 2024 officially began May 27, 2024, at Grupo 4 in La Joya, Peru, after an opening ceremony and unveiling of the 2024 exercise partnership emblem. RS24, which will continue through the next three weeks, is sponsored by U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) and marks the beginning of a comprehensive joint training opportunity aimed at enhancing regional security and interoperability among Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, France and the United States.

U.S. 4th Fleet Conducts Inaugural Maritime Planning Symposium

CALLAO, Peru — CALLAO, Peru - Twenty-five naval officers from eight partner nations recently completed the first-ever U.S. 4th Fleet Maritime Planning Symposium at the Peruvian Naval War College (Escuela Superior de Guerra Naval) in Callao, Peru.

Coast Guard Cutter crews conduct first high-seas boardings off the coast of Peru, under new SPRFMO measure

The crews of the Coast Guard Cutters Alder, Terrell Horne and an HC-130 Hercules aircraft recently completed the first high-seas boardings and inspections, in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, under a newly adopted conservation and management measure to monitor and inspect fishing and transshipment operations at-sea in the South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organization (SPRFMO) Convention Area.

Gen. Richardson Meets with Senior Leaders in Peru

The commander of the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), Army Gen. Laura Richardson, visited Peru from Sept. 13 – 15 and met with senior government and military leaders to discuss the longstanding U.S.-Peru defense partnership.
