Special Ops Competition Brings Teams Together, Southcom Commander Says

WASHINGTON — The commander of U.S. Southern Command said Fuerzas Comando special operations forces competition, hosted by Paraguay this year, brought competitors and key leaders together as families, partners and friends.

Argentine air force chief of staff visits Holloman

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. — Brig. Gen. Enrique Amrein, Argentine air force chief of staff, joined Lt. Gen. Mark Kelly, 12th Air Force commander, for a tour of Holloman Air Force base and an opportunity to meet some of its outstanding Airmen.

U.S. Airmen inspire next generation at home, abroad

CALLAO, Peru (NNS) – U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Pacific Tactical Law Enforcement Team headed a maritime law enforcement symposium as part of UNITAS 2017 at Peruvian Naval Base Callao, July 16.

South Carolina National Guard supports Colombia during international air show

RIONEGRO, Colombia - The South Carolina Air National Guard wrapped up a full week in Rionegro supporting its state partner during the Colombian air force's Feria Aeronautica Internacional – Colombia, July 13-16.

UNITAS 2017 Naval Exercise Begins In Peru

MAYPORT, Fla. (NNS) – Naval maritime forces from 18 countries have gathered in Lima, Peru, to kick off the 58th iteration of the annual multilateral exercise UNITAS, July 17-26, 2017.

Fuerzas Comando 2017 Special Forces Competition Begins in Paraguay

Fuerzas Comando is a multinational special operations skills competition and combating terrorism fellowship program sponsored by U.S. Southern Command and executed by SOCSOUTH. Ten countries have shared the responsibility of hosting the event. The first year the competition was held in El Salvador and 13 countries participated. Since then the involvement in the competition has expanded and Paraguay is this year's hosting country.

(July 3, 2017) USNS Spearhead (T-EPF 1) and its embarked group of Sailors and civilian mariners pulled into Naval Air Station Key West for its first port call of Southern Partnership Station-Expeditionary Fast Transport 2017.
