Helping those in need -- Reservists continue to deliver aid to Haiti

Reservists from the 315th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Charleston delivered nearly 100,000 pounds of humanitarian aid to Haiti this weekend. The missions involved two C-17 Globemaster III aircraft delivering donated supplies and a well-drilling truck to the people of Haiti.

Helping Haiti’s Children: 315th Delivers Buses to Haitian School Org

A two-pronged mission over a weekend in December not only helped to keep 315th Airlift Wing aircrews current on all their certifications, but also delivered three badly-needed buses to schools in Haiti. Citizen Airmen of Joint Base Charleston’s 317th Airlift Squadron, with support from three additional Citizen Airmen of the 514th Air Mobility Wing from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, transported the school buses in a C-17 aircraft from Charleston to Port-au-Prince, where they were offloaded at Toussaint Louverture International Airport, December 16, 2017.
