Helping Haiti’s Children: 315th Delivers Buses to Haitian School Org

A two-pronged mission over a weekend in December not only helped to keep 315th Airlift Wing aircrews current on all their certifications, but also delivered three badly-needed buses to schools in Haiti. Citizen Airmen of Joint Base Charleston’s 317th Airlift Squadron, with support from three additional Citizen Airmen of the 514th Air Mobility Wing from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, transported the school buses in a C-17 aircraft from Charleston to Port-au-Prince, where they were offloaded at Toussaint Louverture International Airport, December 16, 2017.

Beyond the Horizon 2017 planners meet with civic partners regarding upcoming medical event in San Ignacio

Command team members and medical planners from Beyond the Horizon 2017 met with Cayo district leaders April 27 to discuss operations for the upcoming medical event scheduled for May 8 through May 16 in San Ignacio. BTH 2017 is a partnership exercise between U.S. Southern Command and the Government of Belize designed to improve health and educational facilities by providing five construction projects and three health care events throughout the country.

Continuing Promise 2017 Mission Concludes Final Mission Stop in Popoya Playa

POPOYA PLAYA, Colombia (NNS) -- The Continuing Promise 2017 (CP-17) mission made its last mission stop at the Popoya Playa School, from March 25-29, where personnel deployed in support of CP-17 conducted an array of different activities such as infrastructure enhancement, nutrition classes and preventative health tips.
