Navy Environmental and Preventative Medicine Unit conducts training engagements with Honduran health professionals

Sailors from Navy Environmental and Preventive Medicine Unit (NEPMU) 2 used knowledge exchange and training events (KET) to help build partner nation capacity during Continuing Promise 2017’s (CP-17) visit to Trujillo, Honduras.

Continuing Promise 2017 Completes Humanitarian Mission in Honduras, Tops 12,900 Patient Encounters

U.S. military personnel departed Trujillo, Honduras, after completing a 10-day mission stop in support of Continuing Promise 2017 (CP-17).

TRUJILLO, Honduras (Feb. 23, 2017) - Lt. Paula Davidson, a dentist and native of Casper, Wyo., assigned to Naval Health Branch Clinic Gulfport, Miss., performs a dental procedure at Hospital Salvador Paredes in support of Continuing Promise 2017’s (CP-17) visit to Trujillo, Honduras. Continuing Promise 2017 Begins Honduran Operations

TRUJILLO, Honduras — An opening ceremony marking the start of operations for Continuing Promise 2017’s (CP-17) second mission stop took place Feb. 21 in Trujillo, Honduras. The event was attended by local government officials; U.S. and Honduran military personnel; and the Honorable James Nealon, U.S. Ambassador to Honduras, who highlighted how the two nations’ partnership will make the 10-day mission stop successful.

USNS Spearhead Set to Deploy, Continuing Promise 2017 Begins

Continuing Promise 2017 (CP-17) will begin early next week with the deployment of the Military Sealift Command-operated expeditionary fast transport vessel, USNS Spearhead (T-EPF 1), to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.

Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo’s Fire Emergency Services and Joint Security Forces prepare to fold an American flag in honor of the emergency services personnel who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, during the 9/11 remembrance ceremony at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Sept. 9, 2016. Joint Task Force-Bravo honors fallen emergency services personnel during 9/11 ceremony

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Members of Joint Task Force-Bravo joined representatives of the Honduran Fire Department here Sept. 9 to honor the 447 first responders who lost their lives in the service of others as a result of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Every move counts for JTF-Bravo’s Mobile Surgical Team

COLÓN, Honduras — The Joint Task Force-Bravo Medical Element's Mobile Surgical Team completed 11 surgeries at the Dr. Salvador Paredes Hospital in Trujillo, Honduras from July 27-29.

Merging Civil Affairs and Medical Exercises for long-term success

COLÓN, Honduras — Soldiers under the command of Joint Task Force Bravo (JTF-B), Medical Element (MEDEL), executed a medical readiness training exercise for the first time in the village of La Boveda, Trujillo July 28-29, 2016, serving a total of 1,072 patients of all ages during the two-day event that involved key leaders from both JTF-Bravo and Honduras.
