N.H. Soldiers practice swift water rescues in El Salvador

SAN JUAN OPICO, La Libertad, El Salvador – New Hampshire Army National Guard members teamed with Salvadoran soldiers and firefighters to conduct swift water rescue training in the swollen, muddied currents of the Rio Lempa about an hour northwest of the capital San Salvador from June 5 to 7.

HMCS Goose Bay collaborates with Caribbean partner navies during Tradewinds 2019

Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Goose Bay and its crew departed Halifax late May 2019 to take part in Exercise TRADEWINDS 19 in the Dominican Republic and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from May 30 to June 21, 2019.

US Airmen teach aircraft recovery to Chilean Air Force partners

ANTOFAGASTA, Chile (AFNS) — Twelfth Air Force (Air Forces Southern) sent a Mobile Training Team to Chile to conduct training with the Chilean Air Force on Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery, May 13 to June 8, 2018.

Emerging infectious disease training event bolsters medical readiness

PANAMA CITY, Panama — A team of U.S. military doctors, public health specialists and members of various other career fields participated in a week-long Emerging Infectious Diseases Training Event June 4-8. The event, aimed at enhancing attendee cultural competencies and professional knowledge, consisted of briefings, lectures, and a day of field study.

US, Caribbean partners train to enhance security during Tradewinds 2018

U.S. forces, along with more than 20 Caribbean partner nations, are in St. Kitts taking part in exercise Tradewinds 2018 June 4-13, to enhance regional security and disaster response capabilities.

WVNG Soldier provides influence for NCO development in Peruvian Army

LIMA, Peru — The U.S. Army South (ARSOUTH) and a member of the West Virginia National Guard’s (WVNG) State Partnership Program (SPP) conducted a combined workshop in Lima, Peru from May 28 through June 1, 2018, with Peruvian Army (PERAR) officers and NCOs in order to provide a foundation for institutional change to education and leader development within the PERAR NCO corps.
