NEJAPA, El Salvador — Joint Task Force-Bravo and U.S. Agency for International Development along with 25 participates from El Salvador’s Civil Protection, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Public Works, Red Cross, National Police, firefighters, and more from emergency services came together for exercise Sentinel Watch at the El Salvador General Directorate of Civil Protection in Nejapa, El Salvador, May 21-22, 2024.

JTF-Bravo participated in AGILE BEAR helping move equipment and personnel across the country, and validate the national response during a humanitarian aid crisis alongside the National Emergency Management Organization.

Past Disasters Amplify Relevance of FA-HUM Exercise

Fuerzas Aliadas Humanitarias, which in English translates to Humanitarian Allied Forces, is an annual U.S. Army South-sponsored disaster relief exercise where governmental and non-governmental organizations from the United States, host nation and partnering nations coordinate their assets and capabilities to simulate disaster-relief efforts in a large-scale exercise.

Dominican Republic Civil Defense, Air Force search and rescue squadron, Army and other governmental and non-governmental organizations participated in water-rescue simulations as part of Fuerzas Aliadas Humanitarias 2019.
