'Beyond the Horizon' exercise strengthening partnership with El Salvador

LA PAZ DEPARTMENT, El Salvador — Some 1,800 Soldiers from Combined Joint Task Force Hope are providing humanitarian assistance as part of their training during the Beyond the Horizon exercise in La Paz, El Salvador. The U.S. Army South-led mission began May 12 and runs through Aug. 4, and includes Soldiers from all components, Air Force and Marine service members, Salvadoran soldiers and personnel from non-governmental organizations.

Task Force Hope attended Friendship Day celebration in El Salvador

ZACATECOLUCA, El Salvador – Service members with Combined Joint Task Force - Hope, Operation Beyond the Horizon 2018, El Salvador, attended a Friendship Day celebration at one of its construction sites on June 15.

Air Advisors conduct first-ever BPC mission in Costa Rica

JUAN SANTAMARIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Costa Rica (AFNS) — The 571st Mobility Support Advisory Squadron recently conducted their first-ever mission to the Central American country of Costa Rica. The nine member team, executed a three-week building partnership capacity mission with the air vigilance service, of SVA, from May 16 through June 9, 2018.

SAN JUAN OPICO, La Libertad, El Salvador – New Hampshire Army National Guard members teamed with Salvadoran soldiers and firefighters to conduct swift water rescue training in the swollen, muddied currents of the Rio Lempa about an hour northwest of the capital San Salvador from June 5 to 7.
