More than 100 military and civilian members from U.S. Southern Command and Special Operations Command South participated in the famed “Norwegian Foot March,” a grueling physical test that includes carrying a 25-pound ruck sack over an 18.6 mile (30 km) distance.

US Navy and Marine Officers Participate in Brazilian Exercise DRAGÃO

MIAMI – Marines and Sailors from U.S. Marine Corps Forces, South and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet conducted multiple engagements with the Brazilian Navy and Marines in support of the Brazilian Joint Exercise DRAGÃO Oct. 29 to Nov. 5.

U.S. Army Gen. Laura Richardson, commander of U.S. Southern Command, wrapped up a three-day visit to Colombia where she met with military leaders to discuss security cooperation. The visit was Richardson’s first official trip to the region since assuming command Oct. 29.
