Fuerzas Comando 2017 Special Forces Competition Begins in Paraguay

Fuerzas Comando is a multinational special operations skills competition and combating terrorism fellowship program sponsored by U.S. Southern Command and executed by SOCSOUTH. Ten countries have shared the responsibility of hosting the event. The first year the competition was held in El Salvador and 13 countries participated. Since then the involvement in the competition has expanded and Paraguay is this year's hosting country.

KEY WEST, Fla. (July 3, 2017) USNS Spearhead (T-EPF 1) and its embarked group of Sailors and civilian mariners pulled into Naval Air Station Key West for its first port call of Southern Partnership Station-Expeditionary Fast Transport 2017. SPS-EPF 17 is a U.S. Navy deployment, executed by U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet, focused on subject matter expert exchanges with partner nation militaries and security forces in Central and South America. Joint Interagency Task Force South Director Visits Spearhead

KEY WEST, Fla. (NNS) -- Sailors assigned to USNS Spearhead (T-EPF 1) hosted Rear Adm. Christopher Tomney, director of Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATF South), July 10 during the ship's visit to Naval Air Station Key West.

JTF-Bravo welcomes new commander

Soto cano Air Base, Honduras — U.S. Army Col. Keith McKinley assumed command of Joint Task Force-Bravo July 10, 2017 during a Change of Command ceremony at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras.

Joint Task Force – Bravo Medical Element personnel participated in a pediatric nutritional assessment mission as members of a joint team with the Honduran Ministry of Health to assess the nutritional status of children from the ages of 6 months to 60 months in the San Antonio area of La Paz, Honduras, Jun 14 - 15, 2017.

Preventive Med supports local pediatric nutrition assessment

La Paz, Honduras — Personnel from the Joint Task Force-Bravo Medical Element worked with Honduran counterparts from the Ministry of Health from June 14-15, 2017 for the second part of an ongoing pediatric nutrition study in communities of La Paz, Honduras.
